Artists of the Future invited young people to create an artwork which captures Therme Manchester’s ethos: Be Well and Have Fun in Nature. The competition was launched on the occasion of Manchester Art Fair in November 2025 and commenced with schools and creative youth centres within Salford and Trafford in January 2026. We received over 600 entries from schools and arts centres in Trafford and Salford. The gallery was opened at an event on 11th June 2026, with our winners unveiling their artwork which is now on display for the duration of the construction period.

The outdoor gallery will allow thousands of people to engage with inspiring artwork while helping to create a lasting cultural legacy for the project. Artists of the Future demonstrates Therme's commitment to ensuring that creativity and culture are embedded in Therme Manchester from the very beginning."

The quality of the work submitted was exceptional and reflects the imagination, talent and ambition of young people across Trafford and Salford. We're proud to have partnered with Therme Manchester and Therme Art to create an exhibition that gives these young artists the visibility and recognition they deserve."
